Launching TV channels

Combining creativity, innovation and experience, Celebro has all the experience to get your project on air.  Our teams have launched dozens of TV channels and programmes around the world. You can read more about some of our work below:

Iran International

Celebro provided a complete broadcast solution for this Farsi language start-up. Celebro trained staff as well as developed the newsroom, gallery and transmission control. In addition, Celebro produced programming, shown on the channel on a daily basis.

TRT World

TRT World – an English language news channel based in Istanbul, chose to site their entire London operation at Celebro studios. The team developed and integrated newsroom and gallery operations which resulted in multiple hours of live and recorded news programming every day of the week.

Voice of Russia

Celebro Media launched a new daily video service for Voice of Russia. The bulletins feature international news content and are made in 8 languages; Russian, English, Arabic, Spanish, Turkish, Italian, German and Portuguese. The bulletins were produced by the company’s multi-lingual news team using video and text from Reuters.


When MTV needed to re-launch their channel in Russia – they turned to Celebro Media to produce their special launch night presentation from Moscow. The channel is Viacom International Networks’ newest fully owned and operated service in Russia. Celebro produced weekly chart show content for MTV from our studios in Moscow. View more

BBC World Service Urdu

The BBC turned to Celebro to launch ‘Sairbeen’ – a new TV show for Pakistan. The programme is made in London and broadcast on the BBC’s partner station in Pakistan. Celebro’s team devised and mentored the programme & production team. Celebro also project managed the fit out of a new TV studio in Islamabad.

BBC World Service Swahili

Celebro helped the BBC launch its first Swahili language TV service in 2012. The team helped develop the format of the programme and trained radio journalists to make daily TV programmes. ‘Dira’ is now broadcast across Africa by the BBC’s extensive network of broadcast partners. View more

BBC World Service Russian

Celebro Media helped the BBC World Service launch a new TV product – its first IPTV service with live news bulletins in Russian. As well as training staff and developing the programme format, the Celebro team implemented the technical infrastructure for live production and transmission.
