Multi Skilled Operators (MSTO)

Washington & Los Angeles | US - Permanent & Freelance

We are seeking Multi Skilled Technical Operators (MSTOs) to work at our new premises in Washington DC and Los Angeles.

You should be comfortable working in both studio and on-location in a broadcast news environment, be a competent operator of cameras, audio and lighting desks, and possess a good understanding of the latest connectivity solutions.

We are seeking both experienced and junior candidates, full-time and freelance. The MSTOs should ideally have experience in planning and directing/vision mixing live content.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic and ENG-style cameras in a purpose-built studio or on-location
  • Plan simple live studio setups
  • Control sound and lighting desks
  • Support the MCR Supervisors as required
  • Take bookings for our Live Services
  • Utilize IP connectivity solutions
  • Operate our Celebro Live mobile kits allowing clients to broadcast from anywhere inside the US
  • Conduct equipment lineup for dry hire clients
  • Train, supervise and support office staff, including receptionists and runners
  • Ensure company’s health and safety policies are met

Requirements

  • Understanding of video and audio signal paths and the ability to quality monitor live content
  • Knowledge of IP broadcast equipment (preferred
    Excellent communication and people skills
  • Polite and pro-active in approach, with an intense focus on service delivery
  • Good telephone manner
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Quick to learn and a team player
  • Able to work unsociable hours (evenings and weekends) when required

Office Manager | Front of The House

Washington | US - Permanent & Freelance

We are seeking a Front Of House/ Office Manager to manage our reception and office area at our new premises in Washington DC.

You will act as the ‘face’ of our company and ensure visitors receive a heart-warming welcome. You will also coordinate all front desk activities, including calls, bookings and guests services.

As a Front office manager, you should combine a warming personality with the professional attributes to supervise and lead our office and facilities team. Our ideal candidate should be able to work under pressure and be comfortable in dealing quickly and efficiently with client issues.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our front desk provides professional and friendly service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure front desk and the office space is tidy and has all necessary stationery and material
  • Ensure all the kitchen facilities are fully stocked and looked after
  • Train, supervise and support office staff, including receptionists and runners
  • Schedule shifts and make sure the reception is always covered
  • Ensure timely and accurate customer service
  • Handle complaints and specific customer requests
  • Troubleshoot emergencies quickly and effectively by involving correct members of staff
  • Monitor stock and order office supplies
  • Ensure proper mail distribution
  • Look after company’s travel and courier arrangements
  • Ensure company’s policies and security requirements are met

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Front desk manager or Reception manager
  • Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. computers, scanners and printers)
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management, and basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills

Runners

We are currently looking for Runners for our offices in Washington DC and Los Angeles.
We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are keen to join the fast-paced exciting world of

television news.

The core focus as a runner is to learn the basics, develop a great understanding of the company and begin your progression towards a career in TV production. This is an excellent opportunity to gain unprecedented exposure to the television production industry.

Responsibilities

  • Providing general assistance to our clients and employees
  • Opening and closing of the building
    Providing a first-class hospitality service across the building
  • Ensure our building is kept clean and tidy and that communal areas are maintained to a high standard
